Beim Animated Feature drücke ich Rango die Daumen - obwohl ich sonst kein großer Zimmer-Fan bin. Aber wie er sich da aus dem Western-Genre bedient hat, war schon clever.
Ich kenne den Score von McKenzie allerdings nicht.

Documentary Feature:
Eindeutig George Fenton! (Allerdings nur, weil ich ihn so unglaublich sympathisch finde und weil "Deep Blue" so toll war. )

Ansonst schließe ich mich Eorls farbigen "Juhuuuuu"s an. (Abgesehen von TinTin, der mich nicht so vom Hocker gehauen hat)

Er ließ sich von Morricone, Tiomkin & Co. inspirieren. Ist schon was eigenes, aber halt im typischen "Western-Sound" (was ja naheliegt). Mir gefällts genau deshalb so. Western-Scores for the win!

Rango ist ein toller Film mit einem tollen Score. "We Ride, Really", "Bats", "Rango Suite" und "Walk Don't Rango" sind ganz große Klasse.

Finde ich überraschend, dass War Horse und nicht The Artist gewonnen hat. Aber es freut mich. (Vor allem, weil mich die Vertigo-Referenz im Artist irgendwie total irritiert...).

Hat schon wer ERMESSENDA von Arnau Bataller gehört? Das sagt mir nämlich gerade gar nichts.

Empfehlung: Morgen erscheint der OST von John Carter. Kaufen! Ich hatte am Wochenende die Gelegenheit, Teile davon live zu hören (Luzern sei dank! ) und er ist einfach toll. ^^

Ich hab den PromoScore gehört und war ziemlich gelangweilt... der ist direkt wieder von meinem iPod verschwunden... hm... muss ich wohl nochmal reinhören...
